As of 10:20 pm - Saturday night, the band is still in Adair County. The band has not started home yet. Everything is fine, Mr Bonds is still meeting with the judges. Should be on the road soon.

11:30AM—Arrive at GHS Band Room—PIT move equipment…
12:00PM—“UNIFORM ETIQUETTE ”
1:00PM—Load Trailer
1:45PM—Bag Check / Roll Call
2:00PM—Depart for Adair County High School
2:30PM—EAT!
4:30PM—WARM UP
5:15PM—Travel to stadium
5:30PM—PERFORMANCE
6:00PM—Case instruments & Bag flags
6:15PM—Change into Section Shirts (properly hang uniforms)
7:00PM—Load Trailer
7:15PM—Watch Band perform (Marion, Barren, Adair)
8:00PM—Awards Ceremony8:30PM—Students head back to bus area, use bathroom, grab one final snack if needed…Have Roll called on each bus by the time the staff returns to you…
8:40PM—Critique Session for Glasgow Staff
10:00PM—Return to GHS—unload equipment, clean bandroom, watch video, and THEN you will be dismissed.

We need everyone to help with the South Central Kentucky Marching Band Classic on Saturday, September 19th Each year we invite many bands to perform in our contest, and it takes all of us to pull off this event. From parking to refreshments for the bands after they perform- it takes everyone of us to be sure everything is taken care of.

Thank You

We want to take a moment to thank Keith Vincent (former Glasgow Scottie Band Director). A few weeks back, he gave a performance at The Bounty of the Barrens and gave the Glasgow Scottie Band all of the money that was placed in a donation jar.

We will be wearing kilts and band t-shirts for this performance. You will need all the uniform items in your blue bag: Shoes, socks, spats, flashes and your band t-shirt. Please check your bag BEFORE you leave home!
5:00PM—Band Room Opens 6:00PM—PERCUSSION REHEARSAL 6:30PM—Everyone arrives and change into uniform 7:15PM—WARM UP 7:30PM—Travel to stadium 8:00PM—TJ Samson Bowl Queen and King 8:45PM—PERFORM halftime show 9:00PM—Change out of Kilts into bottoms and band t-shirts—Take 3rd Quarter BREAK. 9:30PM—FINISH PEP BAND for 4th Quarter…cheer the team to victory! 10:00PM—Clean-up Chairs on track (both ends) and band room. Be sure your uniform is hanging properly. We may have to have a “lesson” on this. Probably around 10:30 or 11:00 we will be finished. Please have a ride here when we are finished as we will ALL be tired and ready to go home! THANKS for your hard work so far. THE REAL EVENTS START NEXT WEEKEND!!!

The most exciting musical event is about to happen on September 19th when bands from all over Kentucky come to Glasgow High School to compete. Please tell your friends and family to come out and enjoy the show!
