GLASGOW SCOTTIE BAND
KILT CORNER Newsletter

Message from the Director…
Well, Folks...we are moving right through another season. The Glasgow Scottie Band is improving every single day, and we are striving to compete for a run at state on November 1st. At this point, we are ranked with the 6th highest score in the state in KMEA Class AA. This is an incredible feat and we are going to hopefully continue to gain ground on those bands that are ahead of us. All along the way, the students are working extremely hard and we will continue to see good results of this hard work. We are going to have an OFF WEEKEND coming up October 4th, but we will have a rehearsal from 12PM to 5PM on Friday October 10th. This is to prepare for the competition on October 11th at Barren County High School. We are definitely coming around the bend looking at the home stretch. Let's make a run for it.
Some things that are coming up very soon--we are going to be preparing and sending out information concerning the Orlando Trip planned for June 2009. Be looking for that information and get those confirmations in ASAP. The quicker we collect our confirmations, the quicker we can start making payments. Also, All-District is fast approaching. Please encourage your child to be preparing their All-District audition music. They really need to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. As always, thank you for supporting your child and the efforts of the Glasgow Scottie Band. Please call or email if you ever have any questions.
